.: Hong Kong Trip 'o6 :.

i think i shall not talk about it day by day cuz its gonna get real long is thats what im gonna do.. think its better to talk it in fragments and in places :D

before departing from hongkong, in the airpot at 6am... the whole band was there and everyone were so excited to leave already. we had our luggages and many parents were there just excited for their child and also to see their child with their frens. i think this gives a parent the sense of comfort just to see their child being all happy and excited for the triP!
at HK, our hotel room was SMALL! really small. i could not believe that this was what a 4star hotel could provide. maybe it because of the huge population there. from what i noe, there are about 7million ppl living there and that there are MANY high rise apartments with all of them so so tall that the norm of an apartment was about 60 stories high! imagine with a shopping center below some of them! but the rooms were only 150 sq feet and this is how they can let everyone in HK live! there were two buses and my bus was bus A with our tour guide named 'rainkie' (self-proclaiming that he is Rain's brother) . He is a very funny and knowledgable man but hearing him talk makes u wanna sleep! haha. but that is also because the band had to follow a very very tight schedule.
the visits for the first day was to Repulse Bay(i think this is the name) and Madame Tessaudes (i think i spell wrong). The Lantau island is juz a beach but we had photo taking sessions there! haha. with the beach and scenery but the beach really reminded me of 'Goong'. and then Madame Tessaudes.. its actually the wax museum.. wow! it was cool. the wax figures included aaron kwok, andy lau, Lee Kuan Yew, England royal family, marilyn monroe and even albert einstein and many many more famous people! it was fuN! taking pictures with it. haha. did alot of picture-taking there.
the 2 school's musical exchange was done on the second day! one can really see how the bands from other countries were. and i think this is the most enriching part of the whole trip. our band had time to interact with the other schools and had tours in their schools. of cuz, we made some new friends and i dare say, we did learn about the other schools system and people. talking to their principal and vice-principal was not easy. there is this amount of stress though.. but it was definitely a little hard to converse with the students as their first-language is contonese. i had to be emcee for the 2 schools for the band and gosh.. it was nerve-wrecking.. those who went must have seen the nervous side of me! embarrasing as it was, i still had a good time and i suppose my members did to!
Then it was shopping at 'nu ren jie'. 'bargaining' was the key word here and although i would not like to bargain but it was indeed necessary as the starting prices of the goods were all so high! had fun there definitely.. buying all the things i want.. it was like free shopping and the time to just come out of your shell to get the things u really want!
day 3 was spent in disneyland! Disneyland at HK was small but nevertheless, it was so so fun. i had spent my greatest time there and just seeing all the cartoon characters again especially with ur close frenz makes one wanna relive their childhood. i cant really describe disneyland except for you to see the pictures to really know what was there! but one thing that i enjoyed the most was the "mickey phillamagic"... especially to a band member, this is definistely an eye-opener and a cool thing to watch. its a 4D show... we wear the glasses and the images on the screen starts popping out... so real! and that there are some parts that we get wet and when the screen shows a table of food, we can smell the food.. all the water and smell of food comes out from something infront of our chair... very cinema type. and it was based on a musical.. with instruments of cuz and alse based on all the cartoons joined together! a splendid show. did alot of shopping too. the things were very expensive but were very special in their own ways and nice. there was a parade too and there was a few fun rides which we took... the galaxy thingy was damn fast and fun! took pictures with winnie the pooh, mickey and many more! haha. also, the fireworks which occus EVERY NIGHT was so so nice to see. which such great music accompliment. why cant singapore have smth like this?!
day 4 was the avenue of stars and fishing village and ocean park.
The main highlight of the day i would say, is ocean park.. haha. took some rides there and visited the jellyfish museum and hark aquarium. the sharks were HUGE! and was hence scary. the rides were not that thrilling enough in my opinion but still had a great time there la.. which ended with shopping at the souvenir shop! haha
the last day was the time to go home and everyone missed HK! i can say on the whole that this trip was an eye-opener. some friends became not so close friends and some not so close became close friends. the band generally bonded together even closer and this is what i am very glad of. though there wre conflicts between some groups/people, it can be solved. it actually depends on the individual. i think there is alot of fun things that happened and alot of nit fun things that happened. good things and bad things were very evidently shown in some people. and that some emotions came out in some people which i generally dont think its a bad thing cuz we are all humans. this will show how much one treasures their frenz. this trip definistly shows the other side of some people and i can say that it has bonded the band together much closer... but to some, was is a make or break trip? but this trip was very useful in helping me know my band members more and also for them to know me more. the dialogue session was very very useful. i opened many doors and said many kept feelings to a few members. i hope it has been a good time for all my members and may the whole band grow stronger as one unit and may greater freindship blossom in some people or heal in some people!
one really can't live without friends!!! (",) and thanks yvonne, gino, xiangyi, shanhui, huijia, weining, xiaowei, carin, yining, xiangluan, rachel, amanda, sokyee, erina, xiaojun (ms pungent-i will NEVER FORGET ur lame jokes and laughter!),lorraine, nicholas Huang, samuel, and all my band members for making this a memorable trip for me :D
