hohoho! im back! yeah.. finally back.. so many things has been happening! lolz.. survivor and amazing race finalle and everything else! also back from my many wonderful events that i have been attending since the start of this festive month...or maybe the day before(30thnov). hahax.. with the band camp, genting trip and class chalet all over.. its time for a real review! whaha..hmmmm... start with the band camp.. lol. 30th nov - 2nd december! some gruel training in band and one of the most tiring one i ever had.. not to forget.. one of the most fun and great camp i've been to.. of course round of applause to the wonderful organising committee! hahas.. of course.. no one can disagree that they did a good job and yeah.. they did! haahx.. congrats and thanks! band camp started off with reporting at 7.30 or what but i went to help withthe buying and carrying of some things for the camp... erm.. there began practicing practicing and practicing... we had to get prepared for the Genting Trip but at that point we were only, sadly to say half prepared maybe,, hence, the need to work extra hard, build up our confidence and all.. polishing on our skills. playing to our best. make us enjoy the music we make for the audience, the judges were all in our minds... hence, no complains whatsoever i thought could be made if there was a need to settle ourselves a silver medel! with the seniors gone, standard drops but i believed with determination, its not really impossible. hahax... then we practiced over and over, haveing sectionals, having intensive training, all pointers started to emerge and tips or parts to come out more start to be told of. was real intenseive. the games also were rather fun and the BBQ too! hahaax.. barbequed alot and duh... ate alot.. was a camp like no other.. the sleeping was also alright.. tho did sleep late on both nights but managed to get to sleep.. hahax. but all these boiled down to the third day when many of us were so freaking tired and naturally,.,, sleeping was to be in heaven! hahax,, well, i slept or maybe did doze off during practice. the urge to sleep was unbearable. but ... hahax.. pretended to close my eyes and during break well, some of us slept on our chairs. Mr Fahmi could slso sense the tiredness in us and said that he noes we are tired. also, we played some new pieces like the incredibles, shindlers list and greatest hits of the 80s for tryouts.. the repetoir for next years concert is still not yet confirmes.. oh.. my group was called PO! and we got secong losing the first by a few mere points! wad a waste!!! and had a great time there,, and during this bannd camp... emotions and happiness rose in the horn section.. oh yes... some would noe wad i mean, but not gonna talk bout it. hahax.. its over tho. then back home and sleep!now... hehehe.. GENTING TRIP! wahaha.. where shall we start...day 1 ~ reporting time 5.45 AM!hahax.. we reported at 5.45am and carried instruments or whatever we needed down that was in the storeroom.. so damn tired! then ya.. heandcounts and everything... then came a very """""""""BIG"""""""" bus for like er,... 42 of us?! and with our luaggages and everything we had.. and it rained. good or bad sign.. i dunno.we sqeezed and squeezed and ya..as usual boys last to go and with mw having a horn, a luaggage with me and a bag... i got overtaken by some of my bandmates saying they had lesser things than me,, hahax. of course based on the descriptiom of the bus i gave.. half the lagguages we had with us were all on the bus itself.. not in the luggage compartment... "THANK YOU!" then when i got up the bus i climbed like a monkey to the back of the bus.. sitting with carin,weining,gino. hahax.. then custom check at tuas blah blah blah. we changed to a slightly bigger bus.. but in the end the back sit was squeezed by gino,me,wiening,carin,xiangyi and hongyun who happily enjoed each others compony. hahax.. then the 9hours long bus trip there.... slept, talk,eat. when we reached there we checked in to our various rooms and damn the room is ver """""""BIG"""""""" toilet doors unlockable. tv a little bit blurred.. no view. only the bed was big enough. i shared room with gino and there were 2 beds.. hardly place to walk with gino's baritone sax which is huge and my horn on the floor with the lagguages. we walked ans shopped. then the opening ceremony.after that, eliz,yvon,gino and me went off to the arcade at night and then back to SLEEP!day 2 ~ report 7.30AM(?)foos there were always about the same... and sometimes i thought it was like leftovers from the previous day.. but still ok la. the acoustic checks had went alright.. but mr fahmi was angry.. so not a very happy one at that and at dinner, a sudden attack shocked people. then we practiced in our rooms during our freetime, getting ready for the following days competition. we also had masterclassses which i really learnt alot alot from what i have been thought by RICHARD ADAMS. so cool,.and me and gino were late for reporting at dinner and was told off. simply forgot the time was passing.day 3 ~ COMPETITION DAYwas a very exciting yet nervous day. we watched the other bands perform their competiotion peieces and some played familiar tunes like ross roy, noah's ark etc. and asian selection 2 in which we almost chose. hahax. then after lunch, we practiced in our rooms and had tuning. all a mess though. and then came tuning and the nervousness in overyone was indeed rising!.. our turn to be on stage and we did well, after that,, we went to await for the long-awaited results.. everything was a slow process which always happen to be when your nervous or what. then came school by schools result.. screams, claps, cries were all observed in the hall.. full of intensity. then came... bedok view secondary school... well . we got a silver! YAY!!! with the scores appoint 500 for each song given to us. then there, was a whole load off my mind. at night... the hypers i wouls call.... weining, carin, me, yvon, eliz, gino, hongyun,xiangyi,yining,xiaowei,clariss,huijia,sinling,xiangluan(did i miss anyone out) went to use oue indoor theme park ticket and we played all night,, well at least... queued all night.. hahax.. had a cool and fun time, then off to weinings room i think and we talked and then back to 9671(my room) to sleep :pday 4 ~ games and enjoy-youself-to-the-most day!we woke up not as early and then we went to theme park after breakfast and we played played played... but like always...we queued MORE then we played.. with one ride that saw us queuing for like 2hrs? for a 3min? ride/! omg.. hahax.. but had an enjoyable time. played the cork screw! omg.. 2nd attempt at it,, no broken neck now though. hahax.. then went shopping! bout all the stuff we had been eyeing and tried all we had..but did not make it to shop to the most of our desire! cuz we thought the cocktail party wound end at 8.30 but did not turn out so.. ended at 10 with the prize presentation and the school's performing and everything,... hence mw, weining, xiangyi, huijia and carin decided to try our luck with the shops but unfortunately all closed except the chocolate shop which left me spending all i had there.. on CHOCOLATES! then back to the room after meeting up with eliz they all andto pack and then sleeping time!5th day ~ trip back homewoke up damn early... the trip back was the same and bus was equally squeezy and in the end.. im back home on my bed!took lots and lots of pictures there and really was a memorable, fun and enriching experience!good job Bedok View Concert Band!now hahax... last of all. my class chaletwas on the 13th-15th dec.was not a really large turn out.. but yet again.. quite fun.. this time the sunrise was not caugt yet again. but not cuz we woke up too early but cuz we were on the wrong side of the earth when the sun rose! hahas.. played waterbomb and had bbq for 2 whole nights.. all the effort that everyone who has been putting in for theis chalet has hopefully been reaped and definitely i did enjoy my time out there! hahas.after akk the barbeque ive been eating,,, i think im really gonna have a high chance getting,,,er... (touchwood) cancer>? lolthats allltomoro goin overseas... hope all goes well for the band practices that i wont be dere and bye people... hahxtill then,,tag!
